SPEAKER: Roger Mortimer, Portfolio Manager of KraneShares

SPEAKER BIO: 

Roger Mortimer joined KraneShares in 2022 as a Portfolio Manager. Roger is an experienced public-equity investor with over 20 years of experience investing globally in the energy, materials, industrial, and utility industries. He brings deep industry experience and specialized knowledge of clean energy technologies.

Before KraneShares, Roger was Senior Portfolio Manager/ Senior Vice-President with CI Global, where he restructured a C$10B equity mutual fund unit and was Portfolio Manager on C$6B+ in mutual fund assets. Prior to CI, Roger founded Parador Asset Management where he managed long-short capital; was an international equity portfolio manager at Capital Group Companies; and held multiple portfolio management roles with AIM Funds/ Amvescap (now Invesco) , including managing the C$1.6B AIM Canadian First Class Fund and $800 M in the AIM Opportunities I, II and III Funds. Roger’s career began in the corporate development group at Canadian Utilities. Roger has received recognition for managing top-performing strategies on numerous occasions.

Mortimer received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, holds an M.B.A. degree from the Ivey Business School, and earned a corporate governance certificate from Kellogg.
